Blum CLIP top 79A9557.T +37° Type II Overlay Screw-On Hinge

The Blum 79A9557.T is a specialised sprung CLIP top concealed hinge for +37° Type II overlay angled-cabinet applications. Its hinge-arm geometry allows a door to operate correctly on a strongly angled or diagonal cabinet construction while providing a controlled 95° opening angle.

This version has a conventional screw-on 35mm hinge cup and a self-closing spring. The hinge attaches to a separately purchased Blum CLIP mounting plate, allowing the door to be fitted and removed from the cabinet without tools.

Screw-on cup drilling

The hinge requires a 35mm cup hole drilled 12.3mm deep. Its two screw-fixing positions are arranged on 45mm centres, with the fixing line positioned 9.5mm from the centreline of the cup. Blum specifies a drilling distance of 3–7mm.

Choosing the mounting plate

A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate is required and sold separately. The correct plate height depends on the cabinet construction, door thickness, drilling position and required overlay. Because this is a specialised +37° application, confirm the complete hinge and plate geometry before production drilling.
