Blum CLIP top 79A9556.T1 +30° Type II Overlay Screw-On Hinge

The Blum 79A9556.T1 is a sprung CLIP top concealed hinge designed for +30° Type II overlay angled-cabinet applications. It provides a 95° opening angle and allows an angled or diagonal cabinet door to close securely against the carcass.

This version has a screw-on 35mm hinge cup and a sprung, self-closing mechanism. It does not contain integrated BLUMOTION. For the corresponding integrated soft-close hinge, see the Blum 79B9556 +30° Type II BLUMOTION hinge.

Is the Blum 79A9556.T1 sprung?

Yes. Blum specifies a spring closing mechanism, so this is a self-closing hinge. It should not be described as unsprung.

Is the hinge cup screw-on?

Yes. The 35mm cup is fixed to the door using screws. The hinge arm then connects to a compatible mounting plate using Blum's tool-free CLIP system.

Does this hinge include BLUMOTION?

No. Use the Blum 79B9556 if an integrated, switchable BLUMOTION soft-close mechanism is required.

Is this hinge suitable for TIP-ON?

This sprung version is not the standard specification for a TIP-ON handleless door. TIP-ON applications normally require Blum's corresponding unsprung hinge specification.

What is the difference between Type II and Type III?

Type II and Type III hinges use different hinge-arm geometry. This 79A9556.T1 is the +30° Type II overlay version; it should not be substituted with a +30° Type III maximum-overlay hinge without checking the cabinet design.
