Blum CLIP top BLUMOTION 79B3558 +45° Type II Overlay Screw-On Hinge

The Blum 79B3558 is a CLIP top BLUMOTION concealed hinge designed for +45° Type II overlay angled-cabinet applications. Its specialised hinge-arm geometry allows an overlay door to operate correctly on a strongly angled or diagonal cabinet construction.

The hinge provides a generous 110° opening angle and a sprung closing action. Integrated BLUMOTION slows the door during closing for smooth, controlled movement and can be switched off on an individual hinge when less damping is required.

Screw-on cup drilling

The hinge requires a 35mm cup hole drilled 13mm deep. The two screw-fixing positions are arranged on 45mm centres, with the fixing line positioned 9.5mm from the centreline of the hinge cup. Blum specifies a drilling distance of 3–7mm.

Mounting-plate selection

A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate is required and sold separately. For Blum's standard +45° Type II overlay application number 9, the current planning information specifies a 0mm mounting plate such as 173H7100.

Final selection must be checked against the door thickness, cabinet dimensions, cup-drilling position and required overlay before production drilling.
