The Blum 79B9950 is a specialist 95° overlay blind-corner hinge for cabinet doors that overlay the supporting frame or muntin. Its purpose-designed geometry, including a 37mm dimension A, distinguishes it from the 79B9550 inset blind-corner hinge.

Integrated BLUMOTION provides smooth, controlled soft closing and can be switched off at an individual hinge when required. The sprung mechanism pulls the door closed, while the CLIP connection allows the door to be attached to or removed from the mounting plate without tools.

Mounting-plate selection

The correct mounting-plate spacing is determined by the thickness of the frame or muntin being overlaid. Blum provides the following factory-setting combinations:

Door thickness, hinge-cup drilling distance and the required minimum gap must also be considered during planning. Blum provides calculation values for fronts from 16–32mm thick and recommends trial fitting for certain thicker-front combinations.

Please note: The mounting plate and hinge-cup fixing screws are not included unless stated separately. Select the mounting-plate spacing to suit the actual frame thickness before drilling.

79B9950 or 79B9550?

Choose the 79B9950 when the door overlays a blind-corner frame or muntin. Choose the 79B9550 for an inset blind-corner door. Although the part numbers are similar, they have different hinge-arm geometry and are not interchangeable applications.
