Blum 71B9590 CLIP top BLUMOTION 95° Overlay INSERTA Hinge

The Blum 71B9590 is a nickel-plated CLIP top BLUMOTION overlay hinge designed for thick and profiled cabinet doors. Its straight hinge arm positions the closed door over the cabinet side panel, while the controlled 95° opening angle helps prevent excessive door travel in restricted installations.

Integrated BLUMOTION technology provides smooth, quiet soft closing without requiring a separate damper. Blum's INSERTA tool-free hinge cup also allows fast installation into a correctly prepared door drilling pattern without conventional cup-fixing screws.

Overlay-door application

An overlay hinge positions the closed cabinet door over the front edge of the cabinet side panel. It is often described as a full-overlay application, although the final amount of overlay depends on the cup drilling distance and selected mounting-plate height.

The Blum 71B9590 should be planned according to the required overlay, cabinet construction, door thickness, edge profile and minimum clearance needed throughout the 95° opening movement.

INSERTA tool-free fixing

Blum's INSERTA mechanism secures the hinge cup to the door without conventional fixing screws. The hinge cup is placed into the prepared 35mm cup hole and two 8mm fixing holes before the locking mechanism is closed.

INSERTA describes the hinge-cup connection to the door. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate is still required on the cabinet and must be ordered separately.
