THE BROTHERS HART LAUNCH A BUSINESS BUILT ON OPPORTUNITY
Founded by brothers Kever and Alan Hart, we began by trading surplus stock and recovered shipping cargo. Operating from a humble Bedford van, the pair capitalised on unique opportunities, buying and selling everything from soft toys to machine parts.

WELCOMING THE NEXT GENERATION AND EXPANDING OUR FOOTPRINT
As Kever’s son, Martin, joined the ranks, we entered a new chapter. Outgrowing our rented premises, we purchased our first freehold warehouse, solidifying our foundation to supply the booming DIY and hardware trade across the region.

NAVIGATING MARKET SHIFTS AND PARTNERING WITH BLUM
As the industry shifted away from independent DIY shops, we pivoted towards professional joinery. We became authorised suppliers for Blum, embracing their revolutionary concealed hinges and establishing ourselves as a dedicated specialist for cabinet makers.

EMBRACING THE DIGITAL AGE WITH FRESH LEADERSHIP
Following Sam Barnes’ arrival, we accelerated into the modern era. Blending our rich heritage with new technology, we focused on digital growth and efficiency, ensuring we remained the most reliable partner for a new generation of craftspeople.

Hart Wholesale wouldn't be what it is today without our incredible team. The "Hart" of our team is still family run and the majority of our team have been loyal to us for over 20 years and counting. The knowledge and experience that comes with this is unmatched. The team are always willing to give advice and solutions and have a friendly chat along the way, whether in person in our showroom in Essex or over the phone, help is never far away.
I’ve been part of Hart Wholesale since 1976, guiding the business through change and growth. What I value most is our talented, down-to-earth team and the strong relationships we’ve built with customers and suppliers, which have made our journey both rewarding and truly enjoyable.
