What Type of Door Is Best for Your Client?
It needs to be sturdy enough to prevent anyone from breaking in but it needs to not be so heavy that it is physically difficult to open.
There are a lot of factors that need to be considered when choosing the right door for your client but luckily it's not all rocket science! There are just a couple of things that you need to understand and think carefully about.
Think About the Weight
One important thing to consider when choosing the right door for your client is the weight of the door. If your client requires an incredibly durable sturdy and secure door then a steel door would be a beneficial door to choose. However since it is incredibly strong and heavy logistics play a massive part when installing it.
What About Versatility?
A versatile door is great because if your client isn't happy with where the door is placed in one position it might look good in another. A very classic and elegant example of a versatile door is a wooden door. These doors are sturdy beautifully crafted and they can be used for any interior door. When it comes to exterior doors they aren't the best option as they can succumb to the elements and can warp bode and even get mouldy so if you are using wooden doors for an exterior door make sure that it is treated correctly.
Style Is Paramount!
Another important thing to consider when choosing the right door is the style of the door and how it will look in various rooms. For example if your client has a conservatory with windows all around then having a thick steel or wooden door wouldn't be an ideal candidate as it will not match the style and aesthetic of the conservatory. Instead glass doors would be a much better choice as they are clean crisp they match the aesthetic of the conservatory and it allows more light to enter their home. The more natural light the better!
Strength Is Important
This point links very nicely with the weight of the door. All doors no matter what type of door it is need to be strong enough to prevent breakage. So a glass door as a front door wouldn't be the best idea in the world. Plastic or fibreglass doors are generally a good choice as they can withstand heavy impacts and one of the benefits of these doors over steel doors is that in the summer they expand a lot less meaning that they are more secure and require a lot less maintenance.
These are incredibly key points when considering the type of door you are installing for your client so always remember to take these into account.
