Blum 79T9590B CLIP top 95° Inset Blind-Corner Hinge

The Blum 79T9590B is a sprung 95° inset blind-corner hinge for mounting a cabinet door to an inset muntin or fixed blind-corner panel. It combines a self-closing spring mechanism with Blum's tool-free INSERTA hinge-cup fixing and CLIP mounting-plate connection.

This is a standard CLIP top hinge without integrated BLUMOTION. Its hinge arm is designed to accept a compatible optional BLUMOTION 973A clip-on soft-close unit when controlled soft closing is required.

Blind-corner installation requirements

For the planned inset blind-corner application, use a 3mm-spaced standard Blum CLIP mounting plate. Blum specifies that the normal mounting-plate fixing positions are moved 15.5mm towards the edge of the muntin, giving a mounting setback of 21.5mm.

The required reveal is calculated using F = 8mm minus the hinge-cup drilling distance (TB). Door thickness, drilling distance and mounting position must therefore be considered together. Trial fitting is recommended where indicated by Blum's planning table, particularly with thicker fronts.

Please note: The mounting plate and optional BLUMOTION 973A unit are not included. Both must be ordered separately if required.

Choosing between this hinge and the 79B9590

Choose the 79T9590B when a sprung CLIP top blind-corner hinge is required and soft closing is not needed or will be provided by an optional clip-on BLUMOTION unit. Choose the 79B9590 when integrated, switchable BLUMOTION soft closing is preferred.
