Blum 78T9550.TL CLIP top 95° Unsprung Blind-Corner Hinge

The Blum 78T9550.TL is an unsprung 95° inset blind-corner hinge with a screw-on hinge-cup fixing. It is designed for mounting a cabinet door to an inset muntin or fixed blind-corner panel and provides the free movement required for a push-to-open door arrangement.

Unlike a conventional self-closing hinge, the 78T9550.TL has no closing spring. It is specifically designed for use with a compatible, separately purchased Blum TIP-ON for doors unit, allowing a handleless door to open when pressed.

Using this hinge with TIP-ON

The 78T9550.TL has no closing spring, allowing the door to move freely when operated by a compatible Blum TIP-ON push-to-open unit. Pressing the door activates the TIP-ON plunger and releases the door into an open position.

The TIP-ON unit, catch or magnet components and any required adapter are not included. Select the appropriate TIP-ON version according to the door size, weight, construction and required plunger travel.

Do not combine this unsprung TIP-ON hinge with integrated BLUMOTION hinges on the same door. Soft-close and push-to-open systems require different hinge and closing configurations.

Blind-corner mounting requirements

For the planned inset blind-corner application, use a 3mm-spaced standard Blum CLIP mounting plate. Blum specifies that the standard mounting-plate fixing positions are moved 15.5mm towards the edge of the muntin, producing a 21.5mm mounting setback.

The required reveal is calculated using: F = 8mm minus the hinge-cup drilling distance (TB). Check the door thickness, drilling distance, mounting-plate position and finished gap before production drilling.

Please note: The mounting plate, TIP-ON mechanism and hinge-cup fixing screws are not included unless expressly stated.
