The Blum 71B3750 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge is designed for inset cabinet doors that close inside the cabinet opening. Its full-cranked hinge arm positions the door within the cabinet rather than allowing it to cover the front edge of the cabinet side.

Inset cabinet-door application

An inset door closes inside the cabinet opening and normally sits flush with the front edges of the cabinet sides. Accurate planning is essential because door thickness, cup drilling distance, mounting-plate position and the required clearance around the door all affect the installation.

This hinge should not be confused with a straight-arm overlay hinge. The full-cranked arm is specifically designed to create the geometry required for an inset door.

Screw-on cup installation

The hinge requires a 35mm cup drilling approximately 13mm deep. The two screw-fixing positions are arranged on 45mm centres, with the fixing-hole line offset 9.5mm from the centre of the cup drilling.

The screw-on arrangement is suitable for replacement work, bespoke furniture and conventional workshop installation. Choose fixing screws appropriate for the door material and thickness.

Mounting plate required
