Blum CLIP top 95° Unsprung Overlay Hinge for Thick Doors

The Blum 70T9550.TL CLIP top hinge is a specialist 95° full-overlay unsprung hinge for thick, profiled and heavily rebated cabinet doors. Suitable for door thicknesses from 16mm to 32mm, it provides the additional clearance required where a standard 110° cabinet hinge may not be suitable.

This free-swing hinge has no self-closing spring and is designed primarily for use with a compatible Blum TIP-ON push-to-open system. It is an excellent choice for handleless kitchens, wardrobes and fitted furniture where the door front overlays the cabinet side and opens when pressed.

The premium Onyx Black finish discreetly complements dark cabinet interiors, black furniture fittings and contemporary handleless designs. Blum’s CLIP connection allows the hinge arm to attach to a compatible mounting plate without securing screws.

Designed for TIP-ON Push-to-Open Doors

The 70T9550.TL has no self-closing spring or integrated BLUMOTION damper. Its free-moving action allows a correctly selected Blum TIP-ON unit to push the door away from the cabinet when the front is pressed.

Do not combine this unsprung hinge with sprung or soft-close hinges on the same door. Conflicting closing mechanisms can prevent the TIP-ON system from functioning correctly. Where soft closing is required, use the corresponding 71B9550 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge instead.

Installation and Planning

The screw-on hinge cup requires a 35mm bore with a 13mm drilling depth. Use suitable 3.5 × 17mm screws and confirm that the fixing method is appropriate for the door material.

A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be ordered separately. The final overlay depends on the selected mounting-plate height, cup distance, cabinet thickness and required door clearance. Always confirm the application using the relevant Blum planning information before drilling production doors.
