Blum 71B9550 CLIP top BLUMOTION 95° Overlay Hinge – Onyx Black

The Blum 71B9550 is a 95° CLIP top BLUMOTION overlay hinge designed for thick and profiled cabinet doors. Its straight hinge arm positions the closed door over the cabinet side panel, while the restricted opening angle provides controlled movement where a wider-opening hinge is not required.

This version features Blum's contemporary Onyx Black finish, making it particularly well suited to dark cabinet interiors and furniture designs where visible nickel-plated hardware would interrupt the finished appearance.

Integrated BLUMOTION technology provides smooth, quiet soft closing without a separate damper. The hinge is secured to the door using a conventional screw-on 35mm hinge cup and connects tool-free to a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate.

Overlay-door application

An overlay hinge positions the closed cabinet door over the front edge of the cabinet side panel. This is commonly referred to as a full-overlay application, although the finished overlay dimension depends on the hinge-cup drilling distance and selected mounting-plate height.

The Blum 71B9550 should be planned according to the required overlay, door thickness, edge profile, cabinet construction and minimum clearance required throughout its 95° opening movement.

Onyx Black finish

The dark Onyx Black finish allows the hinge to coordinate with black mounting plates, cover caps and dark cabinet interiors. This creates a more discreet appearance when the cabinet door is open while retaining the established adjustment and assembly features of Blum's CLIP top hinge system.

Screw-on hinge-cup fixing

The 35mm hinge cup fits into a machined recess in the back of the door and is secured through the hinge flange using suitable screws. The screw-on description refers to the hinge-to-door connection, not the cabinet mounting plate.

A separate Blum CLIP mounting plate is required on the cabinet. Once the mounting plate is installed, the hinge clips into position without tools and can be released for convenient door removal.
