The Blum 70T3550.TL CLIP top hinge is a premium 110° full-overlay unsprung cabinet hinge designed for handleless furniture fitted with a compatible Blum TIP-ON push-to-open system.

Its free-swing mechanism has no self-closing spring, allowing the TIP-ON unit to push the cabinet door open when the front is pressed. The hinge is suitable for standard cabinet doors from 15mm to 24mm thick and uses a conventional screw-on 35mm hinge cup.

The premium Onyx Black finish provides a coordinated appearance inside black, charcoal and other dark-coloured cabinets. It is ideal for contemporary handleless kitchens, wardrobes, bathroom furniture and bespoke cabinetry where conventional nickel-plated hinges would remain visible.

Free-Swing Hinge for Handleless Doors

The 70T3550.TL does not contain a closing spring or BLUMOTION damper. When installed with a correctly selected Blum TIP-ON unit, the door remains free to move and can be pushed out from the cabinet by the TIP-ON plunger.

Do not combine this hinge with sprung or soft-close hinges on the same door. Mixed closing mechanisms can work against the TIP-ON unit and prevent reliable push-to-open operation.

Technical Specifications

Screw-On Cup and CLIP Installation

The hinge requires a 35mm cup drilling approximately 13mm deep. Its two screw-fixing positions are arranged on 45mm centres, with the fixing-hole line offset 9.5mm from the centre of the cup drilling.

Once the cup has been secured to the door, the CLIP top mechanism connects the hinge arm to a compatible mounting plate without retaining screws. This makes cabinet doors easier to attach and remove during installation, adjustment or maintenance.

Door Adjustment

The hinge provides ±2mm side adjustment and +3mm/−2mm depth adjustment. Height adjustment is provided through the selected mounting plate, allowing the door position and surrounding gaps to be set accurately.

The final overlay depends on the mounting-plate height, cabinet-side thickness and cup drilling distance. Check the appropriate Blum planning information before drilling production doors.
