The Blum 79B9590 is a specialist 95° inset blind-corner hinge designed for mounting a cabinet door to an inset muntin or fixed blind-corner panel. It combines a nickel-plated finish with integrated soft closing and Blum's tool-free INSERTA hinge-cup fixing.

Integrated BLUMOTION slows the door during closing for smooth, controlled movement. The BLUMOTION function can be switched off at an individual hinge when required, helping to achieve the correct closing action on smaller or lighter doors.

Blind-corner installation requirements

This hinge must be combined with a 3mm-spaced standard Blum CLIP mounting plate. For the blind-corner application, Blum specifies that the standard mounting-plate fixing positions are moved 15.5mm towards the edge of the muntin. This produces a mounting setback of 21.5mm.

The required reveal is calculated using F = 8mm minus the hinge-cup drilling distance (TB). Door thickness, cup drilling distance and mounting position must therefore be planned together. Blum provides planning values for fronts from 16–32mm thick, with trial fitting recommended for some thicker-front combinations.

Please note: The mounting plate is not supplied with the hinge and must be ordered separately. Check the complete cabinet construction against Blum's blind-corner planning information before production drilling.
