1.8kg Mortice Magnetic Cabinet Catch – White

A compact white magnetic catch for a recessed installation in a cabinet face edge or shelf. The glued catch housing and screw-fixed steel counterplate provide a concealed magnetic closure for butt-closing doors.

Fitting and use

Prepare the Ø9 mm recess and bond the housing with an adhesive suitable for the substrate. Position the screw-fixed counterplate so that it meets the magnetic face squarely. Check the closed-door alignment before final tightening.

How is the catch fitted?

The catch is glued into the recess; the counterplate is secured separately with a screw.

Is the kg figure a door weight rating?

No. It is the approximate magnetic pull, not the weight of a door that the fitting can support. Contact, alignment and the gap between the parts affect retention.
