PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

2000 × 76 × 2.5mm Reduced-Ligature Stainless Steel Continuous Hinge

This reduced-ligature architectural continuous hinge measures 2000mm long and 76mm wide when fully open. It is manufactured from 2.5mm-thick Grade 304 stainless steel with a satin-polished finish.

The full-length design supports the hinged edge continuously and is intended for appropriately specified timber or steel doors in demanding architectural, security and anti-vandal applications. In-line countersunk holes accept No.10 woodscrews or M5 machine screws.

The hinge has a 7mm-diameter pin, 25.4mm knuckle length and 101.6mm hole centres. Its design helps restrict access to the hinge pin when correctly installed.

Supplied as one complete 2000mm hinge.

Important: Reduced-ligature hardware can help reduce potential attachment opportunities but cannot eliminate risk. Suitability must be assessed as part of a complete, site-specific safety strategy by competent professionals.

Questions and answers

What does reduced ligature mean?

The hinge is designed to reduce accessible features that could provide an attachment opportunity. It must form part of a complete risk-managed installation and cannot eliminate ligature risk.

Is this the same as an anti-ligature hinge?

“Anti-ligature hinge” is a commonly used search term, but reduced ligature is the more accurate description because no individual product can guarantee the complete elimination of risk.

What size is the hinge?

It measures 2000mm long, 76mm wide when fully open and 2.5mm thick.

What material and finish does it have?

It is manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel with a satin-polished finish.

What fixings does it accept?

The in-line countersunk holes accept No.10 woodscrews or M5 machine screws. Fixing type and length must suit the door, frame and application.

What does Grade 14 / 160kg mean?

It identifies the declared hinge classification and test mass. It must not be treated as a universal maximum door weight without considering door dimensions, installation, fixing strength, usage and the complete door assembly.

Can it be installed on timber and steel doors?

Yes, it is intended for appropriately specified timber or steel door installations using compatible fixings.

Is the hinge fire rated?

No standalone fire-door certification is declared here. Fire-door use requires a compatible intumescent system, suitable door assembly, supporting evidence and professional specification.

Can it be cut to length?

Do not cut or modify this specialist hinge unless the project designer or competent door specialist confirms that doing so will not affect its classification, performance or safety function.

Are fixing screws included?

Fixing screws are not confirmed as included.

Is Grade 304 stainless steel suitable outdoors?

Grade 304 stainless steel provides useful corrosion resistance, but exposure, location and maintenance must be assessed. Do not describe it as corrosion-proof or suitable for marine environments.
