Blum 70T3550.TL CLIP Top 110° Overlay Unsprung Screw-On Hinge – Nickel

The Blum 70T3550.TL is an unsprung CLIP top concealed hinge for full-overlay cabinet doors. Its free-moving action makes it particularly suitable for handleless doors operated by Blum TIP-ON.

Unlike a conventional sprung hinge, the 70T3550.TL does not pull the door closed and does not include BLUMOTION soft close. When used with a compatible TIP-ON unit, the door opens with a light press and can then move freely.

The hinge has a screw-on steel cup for secure fixing to the door. Once installed, the CLIP mechanism allows the door to be attached to or removed from a compatible cabinet-side mounting plate without tools.

Designed for TIP-ON handleless doors

This hinge has no closing spring, allowing a compatible TIP-ON ejector to push the cabinet door open without working against the hinge mechanism.

Pair it with a suitable Blum TIP-ON short door unit for standard overlay handleless cabinet doors. The TIP-ON unit and its magnetic catch keep the door securely closed until the front is pressed.

This hinge should not be described as a soft-close hinge. For integrated soft closing, choose the Blum 71B3550 overlay BLUMOTION hinge instead.

Screw-on hinge-cup installation

The 70T3550.TL requires a 35mm hinge-cup drilling and two screw-fixing holes positioned on 45mm centres. The steel hinge cup is secured directly to the inside face of the cabinet door using suitable screws.

The screw-on fixing relates to the hinge cup fitted to the door. It does not refer to the cabinet-side mounting plate.

Mounting plate required

This product is supplied as one hinge only. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be selected and ordered separately. Mounting-plate height and cabinet fixing method should be selected according to the required door overlay and cabinet construction.

No. This is an unsprung, free-moving hinge without integrated BLUMOTION. Choose the 71B3550 if integrated soft closing is required.

Does this hinge pull the cabinet door closed?

What does full overlay mean?

Full overlay means the closed cabinet door sits in front of and covers most of the cabinet side panel. The final overlay depends on the drilling distance, mounting-plate height and hinge adjustment.
