PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Blum METABOX N Single-Extension Drawer Runner Pair – 550mm, Cream

Create low-sided storage in compatible kitchen, bedroom, wardrobe or utility cabinetry with the Blum METABOX 320N5500C steel-sided drawer system. This 550mm nominal-length pair has N-height steel drawer sides, listed as 54mm in Blum's catalogue, in RAL 9001 cream. High-impact nylon rollers support smooth movement, with a 25kg dynamic load rating.

The low sides suit shallow drawer designs for organising smaller items. BLUMATIC self-closing draws the drawer shut at the end of its travel. Single extension provides partial pull-out rather than full opening travel.

Choosing and fitting your METABOX runners

Match the 550mm nominal length and N-height steel sides to your drawer design. Side height is not the drawer front height or minimum cabinet opening. Check Blum planning dimensions for installation depth and clearances rather than assuming nominal runner length equals internal cabinet depth.

This runner and steel-side system is not a complete finished drawer. To attach a wooden drawer front, order one ZSF1510L left-hand N-height front fixing bracket and one ZSF1510R right-hand N-height front fixing bracket. Both are required and ordered separately; they are not included with the runner pair. Select a compatible drawer base, back and other components required for your installation. For a shorter option, see the 500mm METABOX N runner pair. For taller sides at the same nominal length, see the 550mm METABOX M runner pair with 86mm sides.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does N height mean?

N identifies the low steel drawer-side version. Blum's 2024/2025 catalogue specifies a 54mm drawer-side height for 320N5500C. This is not the drawer front height or minimum cabinet opening.

Which front fixing brackets do I need?

For a wooden drawer front, use one ZSF1510L left-hand bracket and one ZSF1510R right-hand bracket. These N-height fittings are required and sold separately. Do not substitute the ZSF1700/ZSF1700L fittings used with H, K and M sides.

Is this supplied as a pair?

Yes. One left-hand and one right-hand runner are supplied.

What is the load rating?

Blum's catalogue specifies 25kg dynamic load bearing for this METABOX single-extension system.

Is BLUMATIC the same as soft-close?

No. BLUMATIC is self-closing. Damped closing requires the separate Z700320 BLUMOTION soft-close attachment, which fits all METABOX runners and is not included with this pair.

Does single extension open the drawer fully?

No. Single extension gives partial pull-out. Choose a compatible full-extension system where full opening access is required.

Can these be used in bedroom, wardrobe and utility drawers?

Yes, where the cabinet and drawer construction are compatible with METABOX. Check nominal length, side height, planning clearances and loading requirements.

Does CRM mean chrome?

No. CRM identifies the cream finish on this product, RAL 9001.

Who provides the lifetime guarantee?

The lifetime guarantee is provided by Blum.
