Blum 171A5010 +5° Angled Mounting-Plate Spacer

The Blum 171A5010 is a cruciform angled spacer used beneath selected Blum CLIP mounting plates. Its wedge-shaped construction changes the mounting-plate angle by +5° while providing a nominal spacing of 0.8mm.

This specialist planning component helps create specific angled cabinet-door applications that cannot be achieved using the hinge and mounting plate alone. It is made from zinc with a nickel-plated finish.

The “X” represents the spacing variant within each compatible plate family. Compatibility with a plate family does not mean every hinge, plate height and spacer combination produces the same door angle or overlay.

Planning and installation

The angled spacer is installed between the cabinet and a compatible mounting plate. The complete hinge, plate and spacer combination must be selected from Blum’s planning information for the required cabinet angle, overlay and door position.

Orientation is application-specific. Some Blum planning combinations require the wedge to be rotated through 180°, so do not rely on a universal installation direction. Follow the relevant Blum planning diagram and the directional marking on the spacer.

Use fixing screws of sufficient length to pass safely through the mounting plate and spacer into the cabinet material. Screws, mounting plate and hinge are not included unless explicitly listed as part of the product package.
