Blum 75T1750 CLIP top 107° Inset Screw-On Hinge

The Blum 75T1750 is a sprung CLIP top concealed hinge designed for inset cabinet doors. In an inset installation, the closed door sits within the cabinet opening rather than covering the outside edge of the cabinet side panels.

The hinge opens to 107° and uses a conventional screw-on 35mm cup. Its internal spring pulls the door into the closed position, providing reliable self-closing action without an integrated BLUMOTION soft-close damper.

Inset cabinet-door application

An inset door sits inside the cabinet opening, with its front face normally aligned with the front edges of the cabinet sides. This differs from full-overlay and half-overlay doors, which cover part or all of the cabinet side panel.

The inset-cranked arm of the 75T1750 positions the door within the opening while providing clearance for the hinge movement. An even operating gap must be allowed around the door so that it can open without contacting the cabinet.

For a standard inset installation, the mounting plate fixing position is moved back from the cabinet front according to the door thickness and the required operating gap. Blum’s planning information uses the front thickness plus 1.5mm as the basic setback reference.

Screw-on hinge-cup installation

The hinge requires a 35mm cup bore approximately 11.5mm deep. The two cup-fixing holes are positioned on 45mm centres, with a 9.5mm offset from the centreline of the main cup bore.

After drilling, position the cup squarely in the door and secure it with two suitable countersunk hinge screws. Cup-fixing screws and the cabinet mounting plate should be ordered separately unless expressly included with your chosen product configuration.

Sprung closing without BLUMOTION

The 75T1750 contains an internal closing spring. This spring pulls the door shut and holds it in the closed position, making the hinge suitable for conventionally handled cabinet doors.

Sprung does not mean soft close. A BLUMOTION hinge includes a separate damping mechanism that slows the door during the final stage of closing. The corresponding integrated soft-close inset model is the Blum 75B1750.

CLIP top mounting and adjustment

The hinge arm clips onto a compatible Blum mounting plate, allowing the door to be fitted or removed without undoing the mounting screws. This is useful during cabinet installation, finishing and adjustment.

Sprung or unsprung inset hinge?
