Blum CLIP top 95° inset profile-door hinge – unsprung INSERTA, Onyx Black

The Blum 70T9790BTL CLIP top hinge is designed for inset thick or profiled cabinet doors, where the front closes within the cabinet opening. Its specialist hinge geometry and restricted 95° opening angle help provide the clearance required by deeper door profiles.

This is an unsprung, free-moving hinge intended for handleless TIP-ON doors. It has no closing spring and no integrated BLUMOTION soft-close mechanism. A separate Blum TIP-ON door unit provides the push-to-open action.

The INSERTA system secures the hinge boss into a correctly prepared door without fixing screws. Once the hinge is positioned in the pre-drilled boss holes, the INSERTA locking mechanism is operated to hold it firmly in place. The CLIP connection then allows the door to be attached to or removed from a compatible mounting plate without tools.

Installation and compatibility

The hinge requires a correctly prepared 35mm hinge-boss boring together with the appropriate INSERTA fixing holes. INSERTA refers to the fixing between the hinge boss and the door; it does not refer to the separate cabinet-side mounting plate.

A suitable Blum CLIP mounting plate must be ordered separately. Plate height, drilling position and door clearance must be selected for the actual cabinet construction and door profile.
