PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Blum CLIP top 110° Unsprung Inset Hinge - Onyx Black

The Blum 70T3750.TL CLIP top hinge is a premium 110° unsprung inset cabinet hinge designed for handleless doors used with a compatible Blum TIP-ON push-to-open system.

Its full-cranked hinge arm positions the closed door inside the cabinet opening rather than over the cabinet side. The hinge is suitable for standard cabinet doors from 15mm to 24mm thick and uses a conventional screw-on 35mm steel hinge cup.

The unsprung mechanism allows the door to move freely without being pulled closed. This enables the TIP-ON plunger to push the door open when the front is pressed. Its premium Onyx Black finish coordinates with dark cabinet interiors, black mounting plates and contemporary handleless furniture.

Inset Hinge for Handleless Doors

An inset door sits within the cabinet opening, producing a flush or recessed appearance when closed. The full-cranked arm of the 70T3750.TL provides the geometry required for this application.

The hinge has no closing spring or integrated BLUMOTION damper. It is intended for push-to-open doors fitted with an appropriately selected Blum TIP-ON unit.

Do not mix this hinge with sprung or soft-close hinges on the same door. Different closing mechanisms can work against the TIP-ON plunger and prevent reliable opening.

Screw-On Cup and CLIP Installation

The hinge requires a 35mm cup drilling approximately 13mm deep. The two cup-fixing positions are arranged on 45mm centres and should be secured with suitable 3.5 × 17mm screws.

The screw-on specification applies to the hinge cup fitted to the door. The cabinet-side mounting plate is a separate component and must be selected according to the cabinet construction and required inset-door position.

Once installed, the CLIP top mechanism allows the hinge arm to connect to and disconnect from the mounting plate without retaining screws.

Planning an Inset Door

Accurate inset-door planning is essential because the door must clear the cabinet sides while maintaining an even surrounding gap. The mounting-plate position depends on the door thickness, required gap and selected mounting plate.

Always confirm the drilling and mounting dimensions using the appropriate Blum planning information before drilling production doors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does unsprung mean?

An unsprung hinge has no self-closing spring. The door moves freely instead of being pulled shut, making the hinge suitable for push-to-open applications.

Can the 70T3750.TL be used with Blum TIP-ON?

Yes. It is designed for handleless inset doors operated using an appropriately selected Blum TIP-ON door unit. The TIP-ON component is sold separately.

Does this hinge contain BLUMOTION?

No. The 70T3750.TL does not have an integrated soft-close mechanism. Choose the corresponding 71B3750 hinge if BLUMOTION soft closing is required.

Is this an INSERTA hinge?

No. This version has a screw-on hinge cup. It requires two cup-fixing screws rather than the tool-free INSERTA fixing system.

What is the difference between 70T3750.TL and 71B3750?

The 70T3750.TL is unsprung and intended for TIP-ON push-to-open operation. The 71B3750 is sprung and contains integrated BLUMOTION soft close. Both are 110° screw-on inset hinges.

What is the difference between 70T3750.TL and 70T3550.TL?

The 70T3750.TL has a full-cranked arm for inset doors. The 70T3550.TL has a straight arm for full-overlay doors. Both are unsprung 110° hinges designed for TIP-ON applications.

What door thickness is suitable?

This hinge is designed for standard cabinet doors from 15mm to 24mm thick.

Is the mounting plate included?

No. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be selected according to the cabinet construction, door thickness and required inset gap.
