Blum 70T7550.TL CLIP top 155° Zero-Protrusion Hinge

The Blum 70T7550.TL is an unsprung, wide-angle concealed hinge for full-overlay cabinet doors. Its 155° opening and zero-protrusion movement are designed to carry the open door clear of the cabinet’s internal working width, helping internal drawers, pull-out shelves and larder fittings move forward without striking the door.

The hinge has a free-swinging mechanism suitable for handleless doors using a compatible Blum TIP-ON push-to-open unit. Its Onyx Black finish coordinates with dark cabinet interiors and black furniture fittings.

Why choose a zero-protrusion hinge?

With an ordinary wide-angle hinge, part of the open door can remain inside the cabinet opening and obstruct an internal drawer or pull-out. When the 70T7550.TL is correctly planned and fitted, its movement carries the door clear of the internal working width.

Typical applications include pantry and larder cabinets, cabinets with drawers behind an outer door, internal pull-out shelves, wire baskets and handleless furniture using TIP-ON.

Technical specifications

Door-thickness and opening-angle guidance

The unrestricted 155° configuration is generally planned for doors approximately 20–24mm thick. Doors up to approximately 31mm may be possible with the compatible 92° opening-angle stop and correct planning, but the hinge will no longer open to 155°.

Available Blum opening-angle stops include a 110° stop and a 92° stop. Door thickness, overlay, cup drilling distance, plate height and adjacent obstructions must be checked together before drilling finished doors.

Ordering and installation

The 35mm hinge cup is secured to the door with suitable screws. “Screw-on” refers to the door-side hinge cup, not the mounting plate.

A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate is required and sold separately. The mounting-plate height must be selected according to the required overlay and cabinet construction. The TIP-ON unit, angle stops and cover caps are also separate accessories.

Does the 70T7550.TL include soft close?

No. It is unsprung and does not contain BLUMOTION.

Why is the hinge unsprung?

The free-swinging action allows it to operate with a compatible TIP-ON push-to-open unit without resistance from a conventional closing spring.

Is TIP-ON included?

No. The appropriate TIP-ON unit must be selected and ordered separately.

Is the mounting plate included?

No. Select a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate separately according to the cabinet construction and required overlay.

What does screw-on mean?

It means the 35mm hinge cup is screwed to the door. The hinge arm still uses Blum’s tool-free CLIP connection to the separate mounting plate.

Can it be used with doors thicker than 24mm?

Doors up to approximately 31mm may be possible when the compatible 92° opening-angle stop is used. This reduces the opening angle, and the installation must be checked against Blum planning information.

Can sprung and unsprung hinges be mixed?

For a standard TIP-ON installation, use matching unsprung hinges throughout the door unless Blum planning information specifies otherwise.
