Blum 79B9596 CLIP Top BLUMOTION +30° Type II Angled Hinge

The Blum 79B9596 is a specialist +30° Type II concealed hinge designed for overlay cabinet doors fitted to angled or diagonal cabinet constructions.

It is suitable for corner furniture, angled kitchen cabinets, feature cupboards and bespoke cabinetry where a standard straight cabinet hinge cannot produce the required door position.

A 95° opening angle provides practical access while helping the door operate within the planned angled cabinet arrangement.

Understanding the +30° Type II application

The +30° Type II designation describes the hinge-arm geometry used for this family of angled overlay applications. The final furniture angle and door position are determined by the hinge, mounting-plate height, any angled spacer plates and the fixing position within the cabinet.

Blum’s planning information shows that this hinge can be used in selected 25°, 30° and 35° furniture arrangements with the appropriate mounting components.

Because angled cabinet constructions vary, the application should be checked against Blum planning information before drilling. A trial installation is recommended for bespoke or non-standard cabinets.

Integrated BLUMOTION soft close

BLUMOTION is integrated into the hinge cup, providing smooth, quiet and controlled door closing without requiring a separate soft-close attachment.

The BLUMOTION function can be deactivated on an individual hinge when necessary. This can help achieve the correct closing action on small or lightweight cabinet doors.

Tool-free INSERTA fixing

The hinge uses Blum’s INSERTA system to secure the cup to a correctly prepared cabinet door without conventional fixing screws.

The door requires a 35mm hinge-cup boring approximately 13mm deep, together with two 8mm fixing holes for the INSERTA mechanism. Once fitted, the hinge locks securely into the prepared drilling pattern.

INSERTA refers to the hinge-to-door fixing. A separate cabinet-side Blum CLIP mounting plate is still required.
