Choosing this fitting

An escutcheon finishes the opening around a keyhole or cylinder. The keyhole format matters as well as the visible shape: compare the opening with the lock or cylinder already fitted to the door.

Check the outside dimensions, fixing centres and mounting method before replacing an existing plate. A covered design and an uncovered design can require different clearance. Match the stated finish to the accompanying handle or knob, and check which fixings are supplied with the selected item.

Browse thumbturns and escutcheons to compare other product codes and specifications.
