PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
2000 × 102 × 2.5mm Satin Stainless Steel Continuous Hinge
This architectural continuous piano hinge measures 2000mm long and 102mm wide when fully open. It is manufactured from 2.5mm-thick Grade 304 stainless steel with a satin-polished finish.
The broad 102mm open width provides substantial fixing leaves for appropriately specified architectural timber or steel doors. Its continuous design supports the hinged edge along its length rather than concentrating movement at several separate hinge positions.
The hinge has a 7mm-diameter pin and staggered countersunk fixing holes suitable for No.10 woodscrews or M5 machine screws.
It carries an EN 1935 Grade 14 classification with a 160kg test mass. This classification must not be treated as a universal maximum door weight without considering door dimensions, usage, fixing strength, frame construction and the complete doorset.
Supplied as one complete 2000mm hinge.

Why use a 102mm continuous hinge?
The 102mm open width provides broader fixing leaves than narrower continuous hinges. When correctly specified and installed, continuous support can help maintain alignment and distribute movement along the door edge.
Installation
- Confirm compatibility with the door, frame and project requirements.
- Support and align the complete hinge before marking fixing positions.
- Use suitable No.10 woodscrews or M5 machine screws.
- Select corrosion-compatible fixings for the environment.
- Use tamper-resistant fixings where required.
- Test movement and clearances before final tightening.
Fixings and fire-door accessories are not confirmed as included.
Questions and answers
What size is this hinge?
It measures 2000mm long, 102mm wide when fully open and 2.5mm thick.
What material and finish does it have?
It is manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel with a satin-polished silver finish.
How are the fixing holes arranged?
The countersunk fixing holes are staggered across the opposing leaves.
What fixings does it accept?
The countersinks accept No.10 woodscrews or M5 machine screws. Choose the correct fixing type and length for the substrate.
What is the hinge-pin diameter?
The hinge has a 7mm-diameter pin.
What does Grade 14 / 160kg mean?
It is the declared EN 1935 classification and test mass. The complete doorset, dimensions, usage and fixings must also be assessed.
Can it be used on timber and steel doors?
Yes, when correctly specified and installed using compatible fixings.
Is it fire-door rated?
Do not describe the hinge alone as fire rated. Fire-door use requires a compatible intumescent kit, approved doorset evidence and professional specification.
Can it be shortened?
Professional cutting may be possible, but it can alter the staggered hole positions and affect classification or fire-door suitability. Confirm requirements before modification.
Are fixing screws included?
Fixing screws are not confirmed as included.
Is Grade 304 suitable outdoors?
Grade 304 provides useful corrosion resistance, but exposure and maintenance must be assessed. Do not describe it as corrosion-proof or marine grade.
