PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

2000 × 32 × 0.7mm Nickel-Plated Steel Piano Hinge

This rolled straight piano hinge, also known as a continuous hinge, measures 2000mm long and 32mm wide when fully open. It is manufactured from 0.7mm-thick steel with a nickel-plated silver finish.

The hinge provides continuous support along a long hinged edge, making it suitable for cabinets, cupboards, furniture, boxes, lids, access panels and compatible enclosure applications. Its 2 metre length may be used whole or professionally shortened for the installation.

The rolled construction has a 3.3mm roll width. Factory-drilled 2.5mm fixing holes simplify positioning, while the correct screws must be selected separately for the substrate and intended use.

Supplied as one complete 2000mm hinge length. Fixing screws are not included.

Why use a continuous hinge?

A continuous hinge supports the hinged edge along its length instead of concentrating movement at several separate hinge positions. This can help distribute movement and maintain alignment across a long door, lid or panel when the hinge and fixings are correctly specified.

Cutting and installation

  1. Confirm that the hinge dimensions and steel construction suit the application.
  2. Measure and mark the required finished length.
  3. Use suitable metal-cutting equipment and appropriate protective equipment.
  4. Remove sharp edges and swarf after cutting.
  5. Align the hinge before marking the fixing positions.
  6. Select suitable screws for the substrate, hole diameter and intended duty.
  7. Check alignment and free movement before final tightening.

Fixing screws are not included. Cutting may change the end-hole position, so plan the finished length and fixing layout before modification.
