Choosing this cylinder

A double cylinder provides keyed operation from both sides of the door. It is a different operating arrangement from a cylinder-and-thumbturn version, so keep the required access from each side in mind.

Keyed to differ and keyed alike are separate choices. Confirm the required keying when ordering several cylinders, especially where some doors need to share a key and others must remain separate.

Compare the stated cylinder dimensions with the existing lock and door preparation. Check the profile as well as the length; a similar finish does not make different cylinder formats interchangeable. Browse door locks and cylinders to compare other arrangements.
