PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Easiwood Bubinga Flexible Veneer Sheet – 2400 x 1200mm
Create a rich and distinctive natural-wood finish with this Easiwood Bubinga Flexible Veneer Sheet. Measuring 2400mm long by 1200mm wide, it provides extensive coverage for furniture, cabinetry, feature panels and bespoke interior joinery.
Bubinga veneer is valued for its warm reddish-brown colouring and decorative natural grain. Individual sheets may include lighter, darker or subtly purplish tones together with straight, interlocked or figured grain patterns.
The natural Bubinga veneer is supported by a flexible backing that makes the sheet easier to handle and apply than unsupported traditional veneer. It can be used on flat panels and suitable curved, radiused or shaped interior components.
This sheet is not described as self-adhesive or pre-glued. It must be bonded using a suitable veneer adhesive and application method selected for the veneer, substrate and intended interior environment.

Working with Flexible Bubinga Veneer
The flexible backing helps the veneer conform more easily to suitable curves and shaped components. The achievable bend depends on the grain direction, radius, substrate and application method. Do not force the sheet around a radius that causes the wood surface to split or distort.
Plan the grain direction and visible pattern before cutting. When separate pieces will be positioned together, arrange them beforehand to achieve the most suitable colour and grain flow.
Surface Preparation and Bonding
The receiving surface must be clean, dry, flat, stable and free from dust, grease and loose material. Select an adhesive that is compatible with genuine wood veneer and the chosen substrate.
Apply the adhesive according to its manufacturer’s instructions, including coverage, open time, pressure and curing requirements. Apply even pressure across the complete sheet to reduce the possibility of bubbles, movement or weak areas.
Create a test piece using the intended veneer, substrate, adhesive and pressing method before beginning the finished component. Allow the bond to cure fully before trimming or finishing.
Trimming and Finishing
Once securely bonded, trim the veneer using a sharp, suitable tool while paying attention to the grain direction. Interlocked or figured grain requires particularly careful trimming. Avoid aggressive sanding because decorative veneer is considerably thinner than solid timber.
The natural Bubinga surface can be finished with a compatible lacquer, oil or clear interior timber finish. Always test the finishing system on an offcut first because coatings may deepen the reddish-brown colour and emphasise the grain.
Bubinga is a genuine natural material. Colour, grain and figuring will vary between sheets. Product images represent the general timber character, but every sheet will have an individual appearance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this genuine Bubinga veneer?
Yes. The visible surface is genuine natural Bubinga veneer rather than a printed or imitation wood-effect material.
What size is the sheet?
The sheet measures 2400mm long by 1200mm wide and is supplied as one sheet.
Is the sheet pre-glued?
No pre-applied adhesive is specified for this product. Use a suitable veneer adhesive selected for the substrate, application method and intended interior environment.
Can it be applied to MDF?
Yes. It can be bonded to correctly prepared MDF, plywood, chipboard and other stable woodworking substrates using an appropriate veneer adhesive.
Can it be used on curved surfaces?
The flexible backing makes it more suitable for curves and radiused components than many unsupported veneers. The achievable radius depends on the grain direction, substrate and installation method, so test the proposed curve first.
What colour is Bubinga veneer?
Bubinga commonly displays warm reddish-brown colouring, sometimes with lighter, darker or subtly purplish natural tones. Colour and figuring vary between sheets.
Can Bubinga veneer be lacquered or oiled?
Yes. The natural surface can accept compatible clear lacquers, oils and other suitable interior timber finishes. Test the complete finishing system on an offcut first.
Will every sheet look identical?
No. Genuine Bubinga varies naturally in colour, grain and figuring. Check the appearance and orientation before cutting when several pieces will be used together.
Is this suitable for exterior use?
This listing is intended for interior furniture, cabinetry and joinery. Do not use it for exterior or continuously damp applications without verified confirmation that the complete veneer, adhesive, substrate and finishing system are suitable.
