Stixall Extreme Power Black adheres to many porous and non-porous materials, including glass, timber, metal, concrete, brick, masonry, ceramics, plasterboard and many plastics.

Always test adhesion and colour compatibility on an inconspicuous area before completing prominent work.

Application

1. Ensure surfaces are sound and free from dust, grease, loose material and other contaminants.
2. Remove standing water wherever possible.
3. Cut the cartridge tip without damaging the threaded section.
4. Fit the nozzle and cut it to the required bead size.
5. Apply beads or a zig-zag pattern for bonding and a continuous bead for sealing.
6. Press bonded parts together firmly and tool sealant before skin formation.

Heavy, overhead or safety-critical components should be temporarily or mechanically supported until the adhesive has cured.

Important limitations

Consult the latest Sika Product Data Sheet before use. Test compatibility with plastics, coatings and natural stone. Do not use for structural glazing, aquarium manufacture, contact with bitumen or asphalt, or substrates that bleed oil or plasticiser. Wet-surface adhesion does not make the product suitable for permanent water immersion.

Can Stixall Extreme Power be painted?

It can be overpainted with many compatible water-based paints after skin formation. Always complete a small compatibility test first.

The published cure rate is approximately 1mm per 24 hours at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Deep beads, low temperatures and low humidity will extend curing time.
