Blum CLIP top 155° Zero-Protrusion Unsprung Screw-On Hinge – Onyx Black

The Blum 70T7550.TL CLIP top hinge is a 155° wide-angle, full-overlay cabinet hinge designed for handleless cabinets containing internal drawers, pull-out shelves, baskets or larder fittings. Its zero-protrusion movement is designed to carry the open door clear of the cabinet’s internal working width, allowing pull-outs to travel forward without striking the door.

This is the unsprung, free-swing version with a traditional screw-on hinge cup. It is intended for use with a separate Blum TIP-ON door unit, creating a push-to-open cabinet door without handles.

The premium Onyx Black finish complements dark furniture, black cabinet interiors and contemporary handleless kitchens.

Zero-protrusion access for internal pull-outs

Standard cabinet hinges can leave part of the open door projecting into the cabinet opening. This may prevent an internal drawer, shelf or wire basket from moving past the door.

When the 70T7550.TL is correctly planned and installed, its zero-protrusion geometry moves the door clear of the internal cabinet width. This makes it particularly useful for pantry cabinets, larder units and furniture containing drawers behind a single outer door.

Screw-on hinge-cup fixing

The hinge cup is secured to the door using suitable fixing screws, providing a familiar installation method for cabinetmakers and furniture manufacturers. Blum specifies Ø3.5 x 17mm screws for this screw-on version.

The hinge arm connects to a compatible mounting plate using Blum’s CLIP mechanism. This allows the door to be attached or removed without unscrewing the mounting plate.

A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be ordered separately. Plate height and fixing position should be selected according to the required overlay and cabinet construction.

Door-thickness guidance

The unrestricted 155° installation is intended for doors from 20mm to 24mm thick. Doors up to 31mm may be possible when the compatible Blum 92° opening-angle stop is installed. Using this stop reduces the hinge opening to approximately 92°.

Door thickness, drilling distance, overlay and mounting-plate height must be checked during planning. A trial installation is recommended for unusual overlays, mitred fronts or cabinets positioned directly beside a wall.

What must be ordered separately?
