Overlay Unsprung Screw-On Hinge
The Blum 70T6550.TL is an unsprung, free-swinging CLIP top concealed hinge for overlay cabinet doors. Its wide 170° opening angle provides improved access to cabinet interiors, making it suitable for corner cabinets, larder units, wardrobes and storage cupboards where a standard hinge may restrict access.
This is the unsprung version, meaning that it does not pull the door closed and does not contain integrated BLUMOTION. It is particularly suitable for handleless doors used with a Blum TIP-ON push-to-open device.
The 35mm hinge cup is fixed to the door using screws. Once the cup and mounting plate have been installed, the hinge arm attaches to the plate using Blum's tool-free CLIP connection, allowing the door to be removed and rehung without tools.

Mounting plate required
A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate is required and is sold separately. Select the mounting-plate height and fixing method according to the required overlay and cabinet construction.
TIP-ON and soft-close options
This unsprung hinge is suitable for use with Blum TIP-ON on handleless doors. Do not describe the hinge itself as soft-close.
The Blum 973A6000 BLUMOTION attachment can provide damping but does not add a closing spring. For a conventional self-closing soft-close installation, use the sprung Blum 71T6550 hinge with the compatible BLUMOTION attachment.
Optional opening-angle restriction
If the complete 170° movement is unnecessary, the Blum 70.6103 opening-angle stop reduces the opening angle to approximately 130°.
Installation guidance
The 170° rating does not guarantee that the open door will sit flat against the cabinet side. Door thickness, drilling distance, overlay and surrounding clearance must be checked for each installation. Blum recommends a trial application for door fronts over 22mm thick.

No. It is the hinge's maximum opening angle. The final door position depends on the cabinet and door geometry.
Is the complete hinge installation tool-free?
No. The hinge cup is screwed to the door and the mounting plate requires fixing. Tool-free operation applies to clipping the hinge arm onto and off the mounting plate.
Is the mounting plate included?
No. This listing supplies one hinge only. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be purchased separately.
Can the opening angle be reduced?
Yes. The optional Blum 70.6103 stop reduces the opening angle to approximately 130°.
What is the difference between 70T6550.TL and 71T6550?
The 70T6550.TL is unsprung and free-swinging. The 71T6550 contains a closing spring and pulls the door closed.
Is there any additional safety guidance?
Where young children can access furniture fitted with wide-angle hinges, Blum recommends using an appropriate 155° zero-protrusion hinge instead.
