Blum 71B453T CLIP top BLUMOTION Thin-Front Hinge

The Blum 71B453T is a specialist 110° overlay hinge with EXPANDO-T front fixing and integrated BLUMOTION soft close. It is intended for suitably strong thin furniture fronts. Unlike a conventional concealed hinge, it does not use a 35 mm cup bore. Its CLIP arm connects to a compatible cabinet-side mounting plate, sold separately.

Plan a thin-front installation

The existing product specification describes compatible front thicknesses of 8–14 mm. Front thickness alone is not enough to establish suitability: check the chosen material, front construction and Blum’s current drilling and fixing instructions before installation. EXPANDO-T uses prepared front drillings and expanding fixings, not a conventional screw-on cup, knock-in dowels or INSERTA cup. Make a trial installation in the intended front material before drilling the finished batch.
