Blum 71T3550 CLIP Top 110° Overlay Screw-On Hinge - Nickel
The Blum 71T3550 is a sprung CLIP top concealed hinge for standard overlay cabinet doors. Its straight hinge arm and versatile 110° opening angle make it suitable for kitchen units, bedroom furniture, cupboards and fitted cabinetry.
This version has a traditional screw-on 35mm hinge cup. The cup is secured directly to the back of the wooden door using suitable fixing screws, while Blum’s CLIP mechanism allows the door to be attached to or removed from the mounting plate without tools.
The 71T3550 has a sprung, self-closing action but does not contain an integrated BLUMOTION soft-close mechanism. Choose the Blum 71B3550 when integrated soft closing is required.

Technical specifications
Sprung closing without integrated soft close
The internal spring pulls the cabinet door into its closed position. Unlike a CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge, the 71T3550 does not slow the door during closing.
For integrated soft closing, choose the Blum 71B3550 BLUMOTION screw-on hinge. For a TIP-ON push-to-open installation, use the Blum 70T3550.TL unsprung hinge.
Screw-on cup installation
A 35mm cup hole is required in the back of the cabinet door. The hinge flange is then secured using suitable screws through the two fixing positions.
This is not an INSERTA hinge. If tool-free cup installation is required, consider the Blum 71T3590 overlay INSERTA hinge.
Mounting plate required
The hinge is supplied without a mounting plate. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be selected according to the cabinet construction, drilling distance and required door overlay.

Does the Blum 71T3550 include soft close?
No. It is a sprung, self-closing hinge without integrated BLUMOTION. Choose the 71B3550 version when integrated soft closing is required.
Is this hinge suitable for push-to-open doors?
No. Its spring pulls the door closed. A correctly planned unsprung hinge, such as the 70T3550.TL, should be used with Blum TIP-ON.
Is a mounting plate included?
No. One hinge is supplied, and the compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be purchased separately.
What does screw-on mean?
It describes how the 35mm hinge cup is secured to the cabinet door. It does not describe the mounting plate fixing.
Is this an overlay hinge?
Yes. Its straight arm is intended for overlay cabinet doors. The final overlay depends on the mounting-plate height, cup drilling distance and cabinet construction.
