Blum CLIP top BLUMOTION 110° Overlay Screw-On Hinge

The Blum 71B3550 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge is a premium concealed cabinet hinge designed for standard overlay doors. It combines a versatile 110° opening angle with integrated BLUMOTION soft closing for smooth, quiet and controlled door movement.

The 35mm steel hinge cup is secured to the cabinet door using conventional screw fixing, making this version particularly suitable for replacement work, one-off furniture production and installations where a standard 45mm screw-hole pattern is already present.

Once connected to a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate, the door can be attached or removed from the cabinet without tools. Side, depth and height adjustment allow accurate door alignment after fitting.

Integrated BLUMOTION soft closing

BLUMOTION is built directly into the hinge cup and provides smooth, controlled closing regardless of how firmly the cabinet door is pushed. No separate soft-close adapter is required.

The BLUMOTION mechanism can be deactivated on an individual hinge. This can be useful on small or lightweight doors where fewer damped hinges may provide the best closing action.

Screw-on cup installation

The hinge requires a 35mm cup drilling approximately 13mm deep. The two screw-fixing positions are arranged on 45mm centres, with the fixing-hole line offset 9.5mm from the centre of the hinge-cup drilling.

The screw-on system is a practical choice for replacement hinges and workshop installation because it does not require the 8mm dowel holes used by knock-in and INSERTA versions.

Mounting plate required

This product is supplied as one hinge. A compatible Blum CLIP cabinet-side mounting plate is required and must be purchased separately.

A commonly used option is the Blum HI173710 0mm cruciform cam mounting plate. The correct mounting-plate height depends on the required door overlay and cabinet construction.
