PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Blum 74T1750.TL 107° Inset Unsprung Screw-On Hinge
The Blum 74T1750.TL CLIP top hinge is an unsprung concealed hinge for inset cabinet doors between 15mm and 24mm thick. It is particularly suited to handleless furniture using a separate Blum TIP-ON push-to-open unit, where a self-closing hinge spring would work against the opening mechanism.
Its fully cranked hinge arm positions the closed door inside the cabinet opening rather than over the cabinet side. The hinge provides a practical 107° opening angle, a traditional screw-on 35mm hinge cup and Blum’s tool-free CLIP connection to the mounting plate.

Technical specification
Inset cabinet-door application
An inset door closes inside the cabinet opening, leaving the front edges of the cabinet sides visible. The fully cranked arm of the 74T1750.TL provides the geometry required to position the door within this opening.
Inset installations require careful planning because the finished door gap is affected by the door thickness, cup drilling distance, mounting-plate height and cabinet construction. Blum’s planning guidance requires the mounting-plate fixing position to be moved back by the door thickness plus 1.5mm. A trial installation is recommended before drilling a complete set of doors.
Unsprung hinge for TIP-ON doors
This is an unsprung hinge. It does not pull the door closed and does not contain BLUMOTION soft closing. This makes it suitable for handleless doors operated by a separate TIP-ON plunger and magnetic catch.
Pressing the closed door activates the TIP-ON unit and pushes the door far enough forward to be opened by hand. Because the hinge has no closing spring, it does not resist the TIP-ON opening movement.
Select the appropriate TIP-ON unit according to the door size, weight and cabinet application. The TIP-ON mechanism is not included with the hinge.
Screw-on hinge-cup fixing
The 35mm hinge cup is fitted into a correctly prepared boring in the back of the door and secured using suitable screws through the hinge flange. The cup fixing holes have 45mm centres and a 9.5mm offset from the centre of the cup.
“Screw-on” refers to the way the hinge cup attaches to the door. The separate mounting plate can use a different fixing method.
CLIP mounting and adjustment
The hinge arm attaches to a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate without tools. This allows the door to be removed and refitted without loosening the adjustment screws—particularly useful during cabinet installation, finishing and maintenance.
Once fitted, the door can be adjusted sideways and in depth. Height adjustment is provided by the selected mounting plate.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Blum 74T1750.TL have soft close?
No. This hinge does not contain BLUMOTION and is not soft-closing. It is an unsprung hinge intended primarily for push-to-open cabinet doors.
Why is this hinge unsprung?
An unsprung hinge does not pull the door closed. This allows a separate TIP-ON mechanism to push the door open without working against a self-closing hinge spring.
What door thickness is suitable?
The hinge is suitable for cabinet doors from 15mm to 24mm thick. The required gap, cup position and mounting-plate position must be checked during planning.
What does screw-on mean?
It means the 35mm hinge cup is secured to the back of the door using screws through the hinge flange. It does not describe the fixing method of the separate mounting plate.
Is the mounting plate included?
No. The hinge is supplied individually. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be ordered separately.
What is the difference between 74T1750.TL and 74T1790?
Both are 107° unsprung inset hinges. The 74T1750.TL has a screw-on hinge cup, while the 74T1790 uses Blum’s tool-free INSERTA cup fixing.
