PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Blum 70T9750.TL CLIP Top 95° Inset Unsprung Profile Door Hinge
The Blum 70T9750.TL CLIP top hinge is an unsprung concealed hinge designed for inset cabinet doors with thick fronts, profiled edges or decorative mouldings. In an inset installation, the closed door sits inside the cabinet opening rather than covering the cabinet side.
Its specialised hinge geometry and controlled 95° opening angle help profiled or thick door edges clear the cabinet during opening. This makes it a more suitable choice than a conventional 110° hinge when the door construction could otherwise cause binding or contact with the cabinet frame.
This is an unsprung hinge, so it does not pull the cabinet door into the closed position. The free-moving action makes it suitable for handleless cabinets operated using a compatible Blum TIP-ON for doors unit. The TIP-ON mechanism must be selected and ordered separately.
Screw-on fitting with tool-free CLIP assembly
The hinge cup is secured to the back of the cabinet door using screws, providing a reliable mechanical fixing for workshop production, replacement doors and bespoke furniture. Once the hinge has been fitted to the door, Blum's CLIP connection allows it to attach to a compatible mounting plate without tools.
The CLIP system makes door installation, removal and refitting straightforward while retaining precise adjustment. This is particularly useful during cabinet assembly, transportation and final alignment on site.

Frequently asked questions
What does inset hinge mean?
An inset hinge is used when the closed cabinet door sits inside the cabinet opening, leaving the front edges of the cabinet sides or frame visible.
Why is the Blum 70T9750.TL unsprung?
The hinge has no closing spring, so the door can move freely without being pulled shut. This makes it suitable for handleless cabinets using a compatible TIP-ON push-to-open unit.
Does this hinge have BLUMOTION soft-close?
No. The 70T9750.TL is an unsprung CLIP top hinge without integrated BLUMOTION. Choose the corresponding BLUMOTION version when integrated soft-closing is required.
Is the hinge suitable for thick cabinet doors?
Yes. It is designed specifically for thick doors and doors with profiled or moulded edges. Blum's planning tables cover front thicknesses up to 32mm, subject to the drilling distance, edge radius and required cabinet gap.
Does the hinge cup use a screw-on fixing?
Yes. The hinge cup is secured to the back of the door with screws. The hinge arm then clips onto a compatible Blum mounting plate without tools.
Is the mounting plate included?
No. This product is supplied as one hinge only. A compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate must be selected and ordered separately.
What is the difference between 70T9750.TL, 71T9750 and 71B9750?
The 70T9750.TL is unsprung for push-to-open applications. The 71T9750 has a closing spring but no integrated soft-close, while the 71B9750 includes integrated BLUMOTION soft-close.
Should I trial-fit an unusually thick or profiled door?
Yes. Door thickness, edge profile, drilling distance and mounting plate position all affect the required gap. A trial installation is recommended for unusually thick or heavily moulded fronts.
