The Blum 75B1650 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge is a 107° soft-close concealed hinge for half-overlay cabinet doors. Also described by Blum as a dual application, it is designed for installations where two doors share the same centre partition. Its cranked hinge arm allows each door to overlay approximately half of the cabinet side.

The integrated BLUMOTION mechanism provides quiet, controlled closing and can be switched off on individual hinges when less damping is required. A sprung closing mechanism continues to pull the door closed even when BLUMOTION is deactivated.

When should a half-overlay hinge be used?

Choose the 75B1650 when two cabinet doors are hinged to opposite sides of the same centre panel. Its cranked arm positions each door over part of that shared panel. For a door covering the outside edge of a cabinet, select an overlay hinge; for a door fitted inside the cabinet opening, select an inset hinge.

Switchable BLUMOTION soft close

BLUMOTION is built into the hinge cup and slows the door during its final closing movement. The damping can be deactivated on individual hinges, which can be useful on small or lightweight doors. Switching BLUMOTION off does not remove the closing spring.

Screw-on cup and CLIP mounting

The hinge uses a 35mm screw-on cup in the back of the door. After the cup has been fitted, the hinge arm connects to a compatible mounting plate using Blum’s tool-free CLIP mechanism. This allows the door to be removed and rehung without disturbing its adjustment settings.
