Blum 71B9690 95° Profile and Thick-Door Hinge

The Blum 71B9690 CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge is designed for half-overlay applications involving profile or thick cabinet doors. Its 95° opening angle helps provide controlled door movement where door thickness, edge profiles or adjoining fronts make a standard hinge unsuitable.

This version has an Onyx black finish and combines Blum’s integrated, switchable BLUMOTION soft-close mechanism with an INSERTA hinge cup. INSERTA allows the hinge to be secured to the door without conventional fixing screws. The CLIP connection also allows the door to be attached to and removed from a compatible Blum mounting plate without tools.

This is a specialist profile and thick-door hinge. Blum’s application-planning information includes front thicknesses up to 32 mm, but suitability depends on the door thickness, edge profile, corner radius, drilling position, required gap and mounting-plate height.

Before ordering as a replacement, confirm the existing hinge number, 95° opening angle, half-overlay arm configuration, INSERTA cup fixing and Onyx black finish. A trial installation is recommended when using unusually thick doors or deep decorative profiles.
