PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

BR214BUF Black Rubber Glass Shelf Support Buffer

The BR214BUF is a black rubber buffer that fits into the hole in a compatible Tonk single shelf clip. Its projecting stem locates in the clip, leaving the rounded rubber head beneath the glass shelf. This rubber contact surface helps stop glass shelves slipping, sliding or slipping off the support.

Purpose and Fitting

This is a buffer accessory, not a shelf clip or a structural support. It is intended for glass shelving supported on compatible single clips, including BR215 single clips. Fit the buffer into the clip's hole so the glass rests on the rubber head rather than directly on the metal support.

Specifications

  • Stock code: BR214BUF
  • Component: glass shelf support buffer
  • Material: rubber
  • Colour: black
  • Fitting: stem locates in the single clip's hole
  • Compatibility: compatible single clips only, not double clips

Compatibility and Selection

Choose clips to match the installed shelf strip system. Flat clips fit flat strips only, and raised clips fit raised strips only; the two clip systems are not interchangeable. Adding a buffer does not change that requirement or establish a load rating for the complete shelf installation.

Related single components include the BR214A brass-plated flat single clip, BR214AD polished brass flat single clip and BR214SN satin nickel flat single clip. Browse Cabinet Shelf Supports for related shelving components.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the buffer attach?

Its projecting stem fits into the hole in a compatible single shelf clip.

Why use it beneath glass?

The rubber head provides contact beneath the glass to help stop it slipping or sliding off the support.

Does it fit double clips?

No. This buffer fits single clips only.

Is this a replacement shelf support?

No. It is a rubber accessory fitted to a compatible single clip, not a replacement for the clip or strip.
