PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
1834 × 25mm Light-Duty Aluminium Continuous Piano Hinge
This light-duty aluminium continuous hinge, also known as a piano hinge, measures 1834mm long and 25mm wide when fully open. Its natural self-colour aluminium construction provides a lightweight solution for suitable cabinets, furniture, boxes, lids and access panels.
The hinge incorporates a stainless-steel pin and has 62 factory-produced fixing holes distributed along its length. Suitable 2.5mm-diameter countersunk screws are required and must be ordered separately.
A continuous hinge supports the hinged edge along its length instead of concentrating movement at several separate hinge positions. This can assist alignment and distribute movement across a long door, lid or panel.
The natural aluminium finish has a functional silver appearance without a decorative plated coating. Regular lubrication is required to maintain smooth movement.
Supplied as one complete 1834mm hinge. It may be cut to a suitable shorter length using appropriate aluminium-cutting equipment.

Why choose an aluminium continuous hinge?
Aluminium provides a lightweight alternative to steel or stainless-steel hinges. Its continuous format supports a long hinged edge, while the stainless-steel pin provides a durable pivot between the aluminium leaves.
Cutting, installation and maintenance
- Confirm that the dimensions and light-duty construction suit the application.
- Measure and mark any required cut carefully.
- Use suitable aluminium-cutting equipment and protective equipment.
- Remove sharp edges and metal swarf after cutting.
- Align the complete hinge before marking the fixing positions.
- Use suitable 2.5mm-diameter countersunk screws for the substrate.
- Fit the screws evenly without distorting the aluminium leaves.
- Test alignment and movement before final tightening.
- Lubricate the hinge regularly using a suitable product.
Fixing screws are not included and must be ordered separately.
