PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Cherry Flexible Wood Veneer FSHM 20mm x 100m

This practical decorative Cherry veneer roll is designed for furniture makers, cabinet makers, joiners and shopfitters who need a genuine timber surface for cabinet edging, repairs and detailed interior work.

Cherry has warm light-golden to reddish-brown colouring, a fine grain and a smooth, refined appearance. It naturally develops a richer, deeper tone with age and exposure to light, giving furniture, cabinetry, shelving and decorative joinery distinctive character.

What Does FSHM Mean?

FSHM means the back is fleeced for flexibility, the front face is sanded smooth, and a hot-melt adhesive is applied to the reverse for iron-on installation. When trimming, the cut follows the blade rather than the timber grain, helping produce a clean, controlled trim line regardless of grain direction.

The 20mm width suits standard panel edges, shelves, cabinet parts, drawer components and narrow joinery details. Supplied as a 100m roll, it is a practical workshop format for repeated cabinet, furniture, shopfitting and joinery projects.

Applications

Suitable for cabinet and carcass edging, shelf edges, furniture manufacture and restoration, drawer components, fitted furniture, internal door edges, decorative trims, display units, shopfitting and joinery repairs.

Application Tips

Apply to a clean, dry, flat and stable substrate. Check grain direction before cutting, confirm the surface preparation is suitable, and test adhesive and finish compatibility on an offcut. Position accurately, activate the hot-melt backing with controlled heat, apply firm pressure while warm and allow the bond to cool before trimming.

Cherry is a natural material, so colour and grain will vary throughout the roll. It also darkens naturally with exposure to light. Test the selected finish first because stains, oils and clear coatings can deepen the colour and alter the grain contrast.
