PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Cherry Flexible Wood Veneer FSHM 20mm x 100m is a genuine real wood veneer edging roll with a pre-applied heat-activated adhesive, designed for furniture manufacture, cabinet edging, shelving, door components and detailed joinery work.

Cherry is known for its warm reddish-brown colouring, fine grain and smooth, refined appearance. Freshly finished cherry can appear lighter and more golden, gradually developing a richer, deeper tone with age and exposure to light. This natural colour development gives cherry veneer a distinctive character that suits both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The pre-glued backing allows the veneer to be applied without separately coating the board edge with adhesive. Once activated with suitable edge-banding machinery or controlled heat and pressure, it provides a neat and efficient method of finishing compatible furniture-board edges.

The 20mm width is particularly suitable for standard panel edges, shelves, cabinet parts, drawer components and other narrow joinery details. Supplied in a 100m roll, it provides a practical quantity for workshops, repeated edging tasks and production use.

Appearance

Cherry veneer typically ranges from light golden brown to warm reddish-brown, with a fine, generally straight grain and occasional natural figure. Its smooth texture and rich colour make it a popular choice for high-quality furniture and decorative interior joinery.

As this is a genuine natural wood product, colour and grain will vary throughout the roll. Cherry also naturally darkens with exposure to light, so recently applied veneer may differ slightly from older cherry surfaces.

Application Guidance

Ensure the receiving edge is clean, dry, smooth and free from dust, grease and loose material.

Position the veneer accurately and activate the adhesive using suitable edge-banding equipment or a controlled heat source. Apply firm, even pressure while the adhesive is warm to ensure consistent contact across the complete width.

Allow the adhesive to cool before trimming. Lightly sand the finished edge as required and apply a compatible lacquer, oil, stain or clear finish.

Always test the application temperature, pressure and selected finish on an offcut before completing the full installation.
