Blum 71B7550D CLIP top BLUMOTION 125° Hinge

The Blum 71B7550D is a specialist overlay hinge for thick, profiled or mitred cabinet doors. It combines a 125° opening with integrated, switchable BLUMOTION soft close and a conventional screw-on 35 mm cup. In a correctly planned overlay installation, its hinge geometry can keep the open door clear of the cabinet opening at 90°, helping internal drawers or pull-outs pass the hinge side. At the full 125° opening, check clearance from walls, adjacent fronts and handles separately.

Fit and plan the overlay

Prepare the 35 mm cup bore and secure the hinge to the door with suitable screws, selected for the actual door material and remaining thickness. The arm clips without tools to a separately purchased compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate. Check the door edge profile, thickness, drilling distance, plate height, required gaps and the surrounding cabinet geometry with a trial fitting before machining a full set of fronts. It is not specifically an aluminium profile-frame hinge.
