Zero-protrusion planning

When correctly planned and fully opened, the hinge moves the overlay door clear of the cabinet’s internal working width. This can allow internal drawers, pull-outs and baskets to travel forward without striking the door.

Door thickness, drilling distance, overlay and mounting-plate height must be checked together. A trial installation is recommended for unusual overlays, mitred doors or cabinets positioned immediately beside a wall.

Door thickness and opening angle

The unrestricted 155° configuration is intended for doors from 20–24 mm thick. Doors up to 31 mm may be possible when a compatible 92° opening-angle stop is installed, but the stop reduces the maximum opening angle, so the hinge will no longer open to 155°.

Tool-free INSERTA installation

INSERTA secures the hinge cup into a correctly prepared cabinet door without conventional cup-fixing screws. The hinge arm then connects to a compatible Blum CLIP mounting plate using the tool-free CLIP mechanism.
