The genuine oak surface displays the natural colour and distinctive grain associated with oak timber. It can be used to transform suitable MDF, plywood, chipboard and other properly prepared substrates without the weight and cost of manufacturing the complete component from solid wood.

This HM version has a factory-applied heat-activated adhesive backing. This removes the need to apply a separate wet adhesive and makes the veneer suitable for controlled application using an appropriate veneer press, heat-application equipment or suitable veneer iron.

The generous 2500mm length is particularly useful for furniture components, cabinet sections and long decorative panels. The 255mm width provides more coverage than conventional edging tape while remaining manageable during positioning and application.

Application Guidance

Ensure the receiving surface is clean, dry, flat, smooth and free from dust, grease or loose material. Measure and position the veneer carefully before activating the adhesive.

Apply controlled, even heat and firm pressure progressively across the veneer. Avoid holding the heat source in one position for too long. Allow the adhesive to cool completely before trimming the edges or carrying out further finishing work.

Application temperature, pressure and heating time can vary depending on the equipment and substrate. Test the process on a small or spare section before applying the complete sheet.

After bonding, the veneer can be carefully trimmed and lightly prepared for a compatible lacquer, oil, stain or clear timber finish where required. Always test the selected finishing product first.
