Create a warm and evenly coloured natural-wood finish with this Woodleaf Steamed Beech Pre-Glued Veneer Sheet. Measuring 2500mm long by 255mm wide, it is suitable for covering narrow furniture panels, cabinet components, drawer fronts, plinths, trims and repair sections.

Steamed Beech has a warmer pinkish, light reddish-brown or honey tone than unsteamed White Beech. Its fine, understated grain and versatile colouring make it suitable for furniture, fitted interiors, cabinetry and architectural joinery.

This HM version has a factory-applied heat-activated adhesive backing. It does not normally require a separate wet adhesive and can be applied using appropriate controlled heating and pressing equipment or a suitable veneer iron.

The 2500mm length is useful for long furniture and cabinetry components. The 255mm width provides substantially more coverage than conventional edging tape while remaining easier to position than a full-size veneer sheet.

Steamed Beech Compared with White Beech

Steaming changes the appearance of Beech by developing a warmer and more reddish tone. White Beech normally has a paler cream appearance, while Steamed Beech is chosen when a warmer timber colour is preferred.

Application Guidance

Allow the adhesive to cool completely before trimming the edges or carrying out further finishing work. Heating time, pressure and temperature can vary according to the equipment and substrate, so test the process on a small or spare section first.

After bonding, carefully trim the veneer and lightly prepare the surface for a compatible lacquer, oil, wax, stain or clear timber finish. Always test the chosen finishing system because it may darken or alter the natural colour.
