- Mortice, tenon, and dowel joints
Application Guide
Fabrication
- Ensure surfaces are dry, clean, and free from dust, oil, or grease.
- Apply adhesive by brush, roller, or machine to one surface. For mortice/tenon/dowel joints, apply into the hole so adhesive is carried into the joint on assembly.
- Bond whilst adhesive is still wet. Clean surplus with a damp cloth.
- Apply light pressure by press, clamp, or jig. Setting time: 12–24 hours at low temperatures; shorter in warmer, drier conditions. Optimum bond strength develops in 7–10 days.
- Before staining, sand areas adjoining adhesive lines to ensure uniform finish.
Lamination
- Apply a uniform coat (50–100 g/m²) to one surface by roller coater or brush.
- Hot Press: 80 psi for 15–30 seconds at 100–110°C.
- Cold Press: 20–40 psi for 30–60 minutes at room temperature.
- Maximum bond strength and water resistance develop after 7–10 days.
Storage
Store in original container with lid tightly secured, in dry conditions at 5°C–25°C. Shelf life: up to 18 months from date of manufacture.
