PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Birch Flexible Wood Veneer FSHM 50mm x 100m is a decorative real wood veneer roll for cabinet makers, furniture makers, joiners and shopfitters where a pale, clean birch finish is required.
Birch has a naturally pale, clean appearance with a fine, even grain. Its understated timber character makes it particularly suitable for contemporary furniture, light-coloured cabinetry and projects where a smooth, consistent wood finish is required.
The 50mm width makes this veneer suitable for wider board edges, cabinet parts, shelving edges, drawer fronts, door edges, trims and repair sections where more coverage is needed. Supplied in a 100-metre roll, it is ideal for workshop use, repeated edging work and production applications.
What Does FSHM Mean?
FSHM stands for Fleeced, Sanded and Hot Melt. The back of the veneer is fleeced for flexibility and stability, the front face is sanded to a smooth, consistent finish, and a hot melt glue is applied to the reverse for iron-on application. When trimming after application, the cut follows the blade rather than the grain — giving a clean, controlled trim line regardless of grain direction.
Suitable applications include cabinet edging, furniture production, shelving, drawer fronts, door edges, shopfitting, display units and bespoke joinery.
Once applied, this veneer accepts stain, lacquer, wax and oil finishes, allowing you to enhance or adjust the natural birch colour to suit your project.
For best results, apply to a clean, dry, flat and stable surface. Always check grain direction, surface preparation and adhesive compatibility before final application.
