Blum 70T3690.TL CLIP top 110° Half-Overlay Unsprung INSERTA Hinge

The Blum 70T3690.TL is an unsprung concealed hinge for dual or half-overlay cabinet-door applications. Its half-cranked hinge arm is designed for frameless cabinets where two doors share one central cabinet panel and each door overlays part of that panel.

This hinge has no internal closing spring, allowing the door to move freely without being pulled closed. Its free-swing operation makes it suitable for correctly planned handleless furniture using a compatible Blum TIP-ON push-to-open device.

The INSERTA hinge cup provides tool-free attachment to a correctly drilled door. Close the INSERTA locking mechanism to secure the 35mm cup and its expanding dowels without conventional hinge-cup screws.

Blum’s CLIP connection also allows the hinge arm to attach to or release from a compatible mounting plate without tools.

Supplied as one hinge. The mounting plate, TIP-ON device and cabinet fixings are sold separately.

Application guidance

A dual or half-overlay installation normally has two doors attached to opposite faces of the same central cabinet panel. Each door covers only part of that panel, allowing both doors to close correctly without colliding.

The final door overlay depends on the cabinet construction, hinge-cup drilling distance, door thickness and mounting-plate height. Check the required geometry before drilling multiple doors.

INSERTA installation

INSERTA is not fitted into a plain 35mm cup hole alone. The door must also have two accurately positioned 8mm fixing holes. Insert the hinge into the prepared drilling pattern and close the locking mechanism to expand the fittings inside the door.
